As McCain sits back and watches re-runs of Matlock on his Betamax©, Hillary has been busy doing something that neither Lee Atwater or Karl Rove could have imagined... the gutting and destruction of the Democratic party. HillaryCo have completely gone with the scorched earth policy that states that if she is now crowned the Queen, err President of the US in accordance to her status as married member of a former President (thus her birthright), then by God she will take the Democratic party down with her since they are to blame for her failure... they are not good enough to survive... leave nothing for the future, spend all political and societal capital right now to avoid the red-faced losses to a young, inexperienced junior Senator from Illinois... even if that means pumping up the GOP candidate to a point that it would be impossible to challenge him in the fall without having her own words come back to haunt her... As the GOP political strategists make plans for the General election, HillaryCo is busy laying the groundwork for the attacks and smears that will come from the GOP. They have some help with some of the friendly allies and some makeshift alliances with enemies in the media... at what point does the general DNC crowd not see a problem that Obama is getting his sac slapped by such ideological counterparts as Rush, Coulter, Hannity and other wannabeneoconGOPassclowns? Yet, the division in the DNC is so strong that no longer do you protect your party but rather you decide to vote only if your candidate will get the nod... it is no longer oust the disasterous policies and ideology of the current GOP membership but rather it is Hillary or no one... WTF? Seriously, as HillaryCo, the media and the conservoblogs make a big deal out of the Obama speech a week ago which a few lines were taken completely out of context as well as some other non-events has led to HillaryCo and her new found allies agreeing that Obama is an elitist... he is arrogant... he doesn't care for the common working class person... he can't bowl so he is out of touch with the general public... he asked for orange juice instead of coffee at a diner... he is fanatical Muslim, er Christian, um African-Centric racists pseudo-Christian that doesn't care about white people... Let's step back from the heartfelt emotional ravings fueled by power and greed held of HillaryCo and really look at what all of these attacks/smears really equate to... ready? Nothing... Obama's statement that the working class voters in areas of great ecomonic depression (aka Western PA) was something that I think everyone would agree upon... yes, they feel disenfranchised... they feel that they were/are being fed empty promises of economic revitalization of their home area by candidates who don't give two flying shits about these people except when it comes to casting a vote on General Election day... they are bitter over this and instead of looking at the entire picture of events/issues, they instead grab issues like guns, religion, free trade or the immigration mini-issues as the reason to vote or not vote... this has been stated by political strategists for some time and mentioned in some way or another by all the candidates, but the difference is that now Convention is getting closer, HillaryCo and her allies have decided to use Obama's take on the issue and blow it up to a huge values ladened issue that has as much meat to it as a soy burger... but to add fuel to the fire to "prove" that Obama is an elitist, they point to the bowling escapade in which Obama showed he did not have game... or repeat the story of Obama in a PA diner recently in which he was asked if he wanted a cup of coffee but instead asked for orange juice... combine all of these non-issues together and what do you get? Like one of those 3-D hidden picture fads, if you stare at it long enough and someone keeps telling you that it is important, then you will see that Obama is... now get this... an Ivy league educated politico... since he is an Ivy league educated person, he is out of touch with the common people... thus he is not good enough to be President... Never mind that this is all smoke and mirrors based on creating a fiction based back story that will resonate with the common voter who gathers most of their information on the election from the snipets on the nightly news or from talk radio instead of actually reading or hearing the entire context of the issue... Let's break down some myths... to be in touch with the general public, you must be able to bowl -- not just bowl but bowl well... which is really insane if you think about it since I know plenty of people who are hard working blue collar people who hate bowling or have never had an interest in bowling... I have also known a number of very rich highly educated "elitists" that loved to bowl, even a few that have had bowling alleys built in to their homes... the same can be said for passing on coffee... not everyone drinks coffee... not everyone likes coffee... and if you were going to state that to be in touch with the American people, you must drink coffee... then by God, there are plenty of people who are out of touch even though they are what one would call a common American person... The last myth has not been mentioned by me but it is something that came out this week in full force... the media has been very hands off when it comes to Obama... yeah, I see it... sure thing... but much like the media is too liberal or too conservative theories that abound, it is really a matter of view... the comments made by Obama's pastor led to a few weeks of painful discussion by the talking heads... the national security experience issue was discussed to a point that my ears bled... the bowling escapade was played over and over... hell, the recent "bitter voter" speech eclipsed other issues for days... Yet, the whole Bosina "misspoken statement" by Hillary (and the subsequent other statements that continued to dig the hole a bit deeper by HillaryCo including her husband) was covered nominally and excuses were given that it was a simple mistake... now she says she is a big gun nut... yeah... does it ever stop? McCain's comments that showed that he (as well as it seems most people) do not understand that not so subtle differences between Shi'ite and Sunni sects as well as what is going on in Iraq was dismissed as a senior moment (something that should scare the living shit out of people but for some reason they just ignore it)... add on to that, McCain's bigger allies (Lieberman and Graham) have re-stated similar statements showing that none of these strong defense-Surge in Iraq whiz kids actually understand what is going on... they are as clueless today as they were in 2001... or as the current administration is today... then again, a majority of Americans do not understand the differences and instead generalize every Muslim as an enemy... all aligned with Iran and al Qaeda which are one and the same (which is illogical and if push comes to shove, our Saudi friends are very much aligned with AQ rather than Iran and AQ).... At the end of the day, HillaryCo will have to reconcile their blatant attacks on Obama and a vast majority of the people declared as Democrats or Democratic leaning Independents... yet to HillaryCo, right now is not the time since they feel she is next in line and fuck everyone who dares get in her way... |
